A/B audio comparison is the go-to audio tool to achieve the perfect mix and is now available as a universal purchase for your iOS and Mac devices.

A/B Audio is perfect for switching live between two mixes so you can instantly hear the changes you made.

*Does this mix need more bass?
*Compression ratio needs tweaking?
*Too much reverb?
*Too less reverb?
*More limiting?
*More chorus?
*More of everything :)???

Use A/B Audio to blast your mixes anywhere and compare your mixes in as many places and situations as you can to achieve the best sounding mix/master for your track.

Load tracks via the Music library (excluding DRM protected content and Cloud items), Drag and Drop or use your favorite file sharing app including:

*iCloud Drive
*DropBox
*Google Drive

After deciding which mix is the absolute best easily share the file from within the app and let your friends or fellow band members know which mix you prefer. We even added a ' Blind test' option to let your ears decide which mix is the best one!

Many bugs

It works, sometimes. I've had it crash when trying to open (they call it 'import') a music file, and it often say 'import failed, file damaged' when trying to open (import) a music/song file, with the fix seeming to be to exit the app and try again (there is nothing wrong with the music/song files).

Also, I discovered that this app makes a copy of the music/song files in it own application container folder within the operating system, so they build up there, wasting space - I only discovered this because I happened to be searching for a song file by name and accidentally had it search my entire Mac drive.

Between crashes (MacOS Big Sur 11.4), and having to exit and start the app twice each time to get it to load files, plus making a copy of the files (seems to be why they call it 'import' rather than just 'open') and leaving them undeleted, this app isn't worth it, even if free.

But it did make me look at Audacity, a fantastic audio editor program, that is free, and you can load multiple music/song files, select them all, and use the Solo button to to A/B (and /C/D/...) comparisons, easily adjust the level of each to match, and added thigns like being able to shift the song slightly so they all line up with each other - a far better A/B/C/... comparison system!!! Plus you see the waveform and far more data about each file!

Developer Response ,

Many thanks for taking the time to describe your experience with A/B Audio! Your concerns have been noted and we aim to fix the issues you experienced as soon as possible in a future update.
Additional note: imported files will not be left undeleted after importing a new file.
