Description

This App, which operates without an internet connection, helps find and identify plants. When you give the App information about a plant, such as its location, flower color and the time of year, the App will quickly show you which plants match your selections.

The App includes 2,754 species of plants found in Alberta. Overall, 1,367are "Wildflowers", 195 are shrubs, 65 are broadleaf trees, 27 are conifers, 12 are vines, 408 are grass-like, 87 are fern-like, 325 are moss-like, and 327 are lichen.

Extended the range of the app so that it includes the northern parts of Alberta. Added more plant descriptions. Added species that occur in the northern part of Alberta.

Really helpful in cellphone dead zones

This is a handy app, especially since you don’t need internet access to use it. The only things I would change are to add leaf shape as an option, and to include whether the plant is considered a noxious weed.

Very handy for plant identification

I tried other apps where you take a picture to identify plants - not only did they cost too much after “free” trial was over, but they were either wrong or came back as unknown species. This app lets you simply select characteristics from the plant to narrow down the possible options. I went from 2000+ options to 24 possibilities in 1 minute, and found the plant I had been trying to identify for days in a matter of minutes. Very easy to use, and great pictures and info to confirm the plants
