NOTE: In order to receive calls when the app is in the background, this app REQUIRES access to an Allworx server running software version 8.4 or newer. If your Allworx server is running older pre-8.4 software or is running in a network environment that does not support push notifications, Reach will suggest that you use Allworx Classic Reach 4.2 instead.

Please note: this release of Allworx Reach requires an Allworx server with Allworx System software 8.4.14, 8.5.9, 8.6.2, or newer. Allworx Reach will notify you if your server software requires an upgrade. Incoming calls will not ring until the server is upgraded.

Using this app because I don’t have a choice
This app is not great. The latest version info says “fixes missing ring tone on outbound calls” however this is one of the current issues with the app. There is no ringtone just dead silence until someone picks up.
The app also pauses any audio on my phone, regardless of “offline” status. It can be Saturday night and I’m listening to music on my phone and my music will stop any time the app senses a call coming in. Even if the app is not running in background and set to offline.
All calls through the app are logged in my iphones “recent” calls which was initially very annoying but now allows me to see discrepancies in the call logs. My phone rang twice this morning and my iPhone call log shows this but the app call log shows no calls today.
The biggest of all problems with this app? It goes to sleep when running in the background. I’ll be working away for hours wondering why the phone hasn’t rang and when I maximize the app it goes “reconnecting...” if this app does not remain connected when minimized what is the point? I can’t keep my phone screen on with the app up all day, but every time my screen goes to sleep or I minimize it to check email the app stops pushing calls through. There have been days where 10+ phone calls have come in over a couple of hours and even though my app is running it doesn’t alert me in any way.
I’ve done extensive troubleshooting with my phone provider and the best they could say after weeks of back and forth with Allworx is “hopefully an update is coming soon that will fix these issues”. 🤷🏻♀️
