Pretty Good

I was skeptical at first of this app, so I tried the free version and was very pleased with the results and I upgraded to the full version. When the buffer is set to its lowest, I am able to watch a TV show without noticeable lip sync issues. I do recommend trying before you buy because different network configurations may affect your results.

Mac users bid forewarning - not Mac friendly, LAN & WiFi issues

Soundflower is a great little kext/driver/system file that has been utilized in several different media applications to enhance the ability of audio configuration and usage.

This application however does not utilize those features!!! It merely uses Soundflower to bridge the connection but does not establish or lease the connection inevitably leading to garbled/delayed/Intermediate/no sound quality!

*TmX86 users beware.. I've been having serious problems with Voodoo and Soundflower causing my audio to go mute usually requiring a reinstall

*VM usage will totally destroy any functionality

I am running this on a MacBookPro8,2 with success in only one direction out of the following (note: any network disruption such as an Ethernet connection or wifi disconnect will indefinitely cause the program to crash and/or require a restart and a new lease for the phone and pc):

WiFi to LAN
Useless. The connection becomes garbled no matter what stream size is set.. Unlock the ports, still no luck.. Clearly this was made merely for wireless connections.

WiFi to WiFi
Serious problems... Not only causing my battery to drop at abnormal rates but application crashing and wifi troubles afterwards usually requiring a reboot. If the screen locks, the wifi drops and so does the connection. Even when l keep it active, it inevitably becomes garbled or delayed. If you have only a wifi connection, your best option is to emulate lion and dedicate it to the audioserver as a bridged (not NAT!) connection.. Windows will fail for sure as a VM. Works reasonably on boot camp

WiFi to adhoc
This is the most stable connection allowing for system sleep on both machine and iphone with active connections established and maintained due to Macs adhoc support between the iPhone iOS and lion.. The battery life is flexible and The audio sounds great at any stream rate as long as you have a LAN connection then I would suggest using this route. The only problems arise from NAT enabled VMs and wifi channel interruptions.

Very disappointing that I couldn't find a considerably reasonable workaround for using this as I was hoping it would be pretty flexible with networking but anyway. If your desperate for a cheap Bluetooth speaker replacement then ad-hocking is the way to go, Bluetooth tethering + adhoc network = stop and go audio solution

Outstanding

We are successfully using this app in a theatre performance to recieve audio cues from QLab to sound out through a speaker embedded in a prop. The interface could be cleaned up a bit but really it is bare bones and does the job perfectly. Much cheaper than buying/renting a wireless reciever pack.
