Using the Auricula app will help improve your listening skills. Successful audio engineers & producers have acquired unique abilities to hear subtle changes in sound. This app will help you develop these skills in no time at all. Best of all - it's easy! Specifically, while playing a built-in sound ( like pink noise ), the app will generate a random filter setting. It's up to you to guess which frequency was affected. A running score is kept so you can gauge your progress. Perfect for students enrolled in audio & recording curricula, anyone trying to make their own music sound better, or audio professions looking to stay sharp. Included filters: boost, cut, bandpass, or randomize. Included sounds: pink noise, kick, or snare. New: Use your own sounds too!

Ratings and Reviews
Good idea, but unusable implementation
With small changes, this would be a five star review. The functionality is simple and delivers simple and effective (potentially) ear training tests as desired.
However, the constant pop-up ad asking you to purchase the paid features interrupts the tests, and there is no exit option (you must click the “purchase” button, which takes you to a purchasing page and out of the test you were currently in the middle of!). This happens every few minutes and makes the free version of the app completely unusable, which absolutely pushes me away from even considering the paid version.
There is also a lack of explanation on what much of the app is offering. A quick help guide to explain the different tests, and what different abbreviations and symbols in the tests mean would help (you can likely figure it out after a while, but you may be incorrect or missing something).
