Overall a good game
BBirthday is one of the most unique visual novels I’ve ever played. The story does a great job at showing how trauma can totally reshape your life and view of the world, and how trauma can be passed down through generations as well. The art style and aesthetic are super visually appealing, and the use of object heads is very cool. I also enjoyed the horror elements, very fitting to the story! My main complaints with the game are the combat, I personally found it quite difficult to control. It seems as through they were not made to be won, as I had great difficulty avoiding attacks. Seeing as how the game is optimized for a mobile format, I won’t give it too much criticism. The translations were also not the best at times and made some parts of the story difficult to follow. I am assuming the dev’s first language isn’t English, so again, this doesn’t bother me too much. Generally speaking, BBirthday was a very enjoyable play through and would definitely recommend it to any horror visual novel fans out there.
HOLY CRUD IT’S SO GOOD
I would rate it 6 stars if I could it’s one of the best games I’ve played on the App Store. The story telling is immaculate and the art is SO GOOD!?! Also the whole aesthetic of the game is really cool and nice in general. DO PLAY!!
