Description

Blendle gives you unparalleled access to the best journalism that’s out there. From the moment you wake up, until you’re ready to go to bed.

Follow New York Times reporters, every step of their way in revealing the truth. Read up on pop culture, fashion, and current affairs with Vanity Fair. Dive into the iconic covers of TIME Magazine, to understand the events that shape our world. Go beyond the headline, with award winning journalism from The New Yorker. Or be at the center of every trade, with The Wall Street Journal.

But you don’t have time to go over all of these newspapers and magazines yourself.

Finding great stories is what gets our human editors up in the middle of the night. They read everything. Front to back, with no room for clickbait. This leads to a daily hand-picked selection of articles, from a wide variety of sources.

Then, our algorithm works its magic. Combining the stories we feel everyone should read, with a personalized selection that’s just for you. We give you an explanation with each recommendation, to help you understand why a particular story matters.

Follow your curiosity, and flip through current and past issues of your favorite magazines. You could also search our entire archive, containing millions of articles.

In the Netherlands, Blendle is offered as a subscription, called Blendle Premium. Premium comes with so much more! Follow our signature Blendle Collections, featuring timeless pieces, all sorted by topic.

And since we know you’ve got places to go, you can listen to most of the articles too. Listen to them in the comfort of your own car, or during a nice run through the park. Always read by world-class narrators.

With Blendle, you support all of your favorite journalists too, so they can start working on their next great piece.

Enjoy our platform without any ads, and with the freedom to cancel anytime.

The first month of Blendle Premium (available in The Netherlands only) is free, and €9,99 thereafter. You will be billed automatically each month through your iTunes account at confirmation of your purchase. There is no commitment, you can cancel anytime.

Your Blendle Premium subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will be charged at the same price for renewal, as stated above, within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions and/or turn off auto-renewal by visiting your iTunes Account settings after purchase.

In the United States and Germany, Blendle is only available on a pay-per-article basis. You can top-up your virtual wallet and only pay for what you’ve read. If you don’t like a particular story, there’s a button to ask for an immediate refund.

Wonderful platform that needs more love

I love the idea of on-demand stories. The app is fast and works very well. Overall it’s very good but some improvements are needed.

When browsing a publication, we see a full page scan of the paper/magazine copy. This is cute but extremely hard to navigate. On a iPhone, it’s impossible to even read most headlines. A list version with descriptions is what is needed.

I would love to rely on Blendle for supporting photography as well. It’s an afterthought in the app, though some layout improvements have been made. In essence, photos are CYMK conversions of their RGB digital copies. This means that photos often look like photocopies of the original.

And as another user said, more immediate pushes on big stories would likely make me use the app more. It has happened often that I see a great story for free online (because I haven’t hit a paywall) but instead I try to search for it on blendle to support the App and publication. But the story won’t be there, so I need to read the free version. I’m in the extreme minority that even try to do that.

The first two issues are likely due to how publications share their stories for the platform but take away from the experience overall.

I would love to see the app become more widespread in North America and have Canadian content as well.

Pretty good

Really great idea since i can read title before buying an article. Prob cheap for me since i read articles from multiple outlets. Really wish they can access more core and daily articles

Great articles to choose from

I love Blendle! Its practicality of picking what you want to read + paying for only that article is great.
