• View information and signal strength for all peripherals and devices, updating in real time as you move around.

• Get battery level for your own Apple devices (signed into the same primary iCloud account) — no need to install the app on all your devices.

• A new Hex option in the Write Value shortcut action lets you write a hex value to a characteristic from the Shortcuts app.
• Manually reload a characteristic value with the reload button above the characteristic value history.
• 5 battery icons are now used for more granularity in battery level.

Fixes:
• Make sure the peripheral is in the expected state before trying to write to a characteristic of it.
• Improvements to layout and legibility of various parts of the app for users with an accessibility font size set.
• Fix a missing animation when navigating to a peripheral on a compact display and fix navigating between services and characteristics in split view.

Fast, detailed, and useful

That said, doesn't always pick up all device info.

Some peripherals (such as Apple track pads) don't show up, or only show up as device string numbers - can't tell. Could it interrogate the OS for more info? That may be up to Apple to allow or not.

An option to sort by name would be handy.

MAC address inspector

Been using this app for years. It used to pick up only 30-60 signals on a busy Tokyo subway car pre-2020 and was quite responsive, but post 2020 I’ll get mid 100s to low 1000s in a 60 second scan (1000-1800%+ number of signals in only a few years), but the app will now completely slow down, almost to the point that my iPad will freeze up.

Is there any way to boost performance without buying a new iPad?

Slow and Naggy

Slow. Doesn't show all the info for the BT devices and asks for a rating avery 3 minutes.

Slow to find devices? Have you tried Intensive Mode from the options menu?

What info is missing from the devices you wish to see in the app?

The app can only ask for a rating 3 times in 365 days as enforced by macOS. The app only asks macOS to show the review popup after 30-40 sidebar selection changes. You can disable the popup by unchecking ‘In-App Ratings & Reviews’ from App Store preferences.
