Are you a developer? Do you often deal with text? Do you have a fairly good understanding of command line interfaces and yet cannot for the life of you remember how one can possibly perform some of the most seemingly simple tasks such as decoding a url or computing an MD5 hash from within Terminal?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, Boop might be for you. It's a magical place to paste some plain text and run some basic text operations on it. Goodbye, unreadable XML! So long, HTML entities! Au revoir, undecipherable time-stamps!
Boop allows you to get those simple tasks done in a native, safe, and welcoming environment without having to paste your precious data in some random website as many of us did before.
If you're feeling adventurous, you can import you own scripts to extend the built-in capabilities. If you're up for a challenge, Boop's open source codebase is waiting for you to bring it to the next level!

Great app, super helpful.
There's just a few tools that would be really helpful.
ASCII to binary and binary to ASCII
and the app already has PHP unserialize, it should definitely have PHP serialize.
Also basic character passthru such as when you type hit the keys for ) } or " when there's a ) } or " in front of the cursor, especially since the app automatically adds an extra one for you.
eg. you type `var str = "` and the app makes it type `var str = ""` but your cursor is in the middle of the quotes, when you hit " again, it shouldn't add a new quote it should skip to the right of the existing quote.
Super Useful, Super Light
Thank you Dev for making this tool available for free!
Boop is super simple to use! You just write/paste the text in the textbox, hit CMD B, and type whatever you need to do with the text.
Example: if you type "case", it will give options to make your text uppercase/lowercase/camel, etc.
One suggestion for the kind dev is to have some kind of a button/link inside Boop that when clicked, displays all the available tools for use. Because at the moment, you need to type something in order for some tools to appear.
Looking forward to the next awesome version of Boop! :-)
Whenever I think there must be a fast way
I was just reversing 8 lines, copy line 7, paste at line 9, and again, and again.
Then I remembered Boop!
Spotlight, Boop, paste, Cmd-B, rev- (completed reverse lines), enter. Done.
