Description
With Call a Bike, you are spontaneously and flexibly mobile around the clock. Whether you're on your way to work, after work or on a city trip, with Call a Bike you can rent a bike at any time and anywhere in Germany.
A total of 13,000 bikes are available in over 80 cities. You can also use the app to hire a bike from StadtRAD Hamburg and Lüneburg as well as RegioRadStuttgart.
All bikes are displayed on an interactive map in the app. You can rent them using the QR code or by entering the bike number.
You can pause your journey: simply activate it in the app and close the bike lock.
To return the bike, take it to one of the Call a Bike stations that you can find on the interactive map in the app.
You can view the details and costs of your journeys in your bookings at any time. You can also redeem voucher codes, report damage and manage your customer account here.

Unable to restart bike after a pause, rental is ongoing even though bike is locked
Same issue as others have mentioned. Rented a bike which was working fine with multiple pauses over 6 hours. Paused again, bike locked, but when I came back, the app got stuck on the pause / stop screen and I could not unlock the bike. Specifically, instead of showing the “continue” button, the app was showing the pause / stop buttons, and would be unresponsive when I clicked either pause or stop. So I had to get home by other means, because I could not move the locked bike.
There is no phone number to call for support. It is an ongoing issue because I also cannot stop the rental so it’s ongoing, and my bike had to be left in an area not designated as a station (which incurs extra fees). Hopefully DB will reply in time so I would not be charged a lot of extra fees for errors out of my control.

Useless
Setup my account with no problems, got charged the membership fee, then was completely unable to rent any bike. Only message was to try again with a different bike in a few minutes.
