Doesn’t handle colour well
I work in the video game industry and have a couple thousand cards I wanted to scan from people I’ve met over the last few years. After the first dozen, I realized this would be impossible. I was scanning in ideal conditions. There was a flat background and a dedicated light to eliminate shadows. All the pictures were big, and in focus. The success rate was only around 20%. Any card that wasn’t white, black, or gray it would seem to try to turn it white. If the card used a serif font, it would fail. It can’t tell the difference between an email and a social media handle and produces garbage. It might just be faster to enter all the information manually.
