- Enable Wifi ("app" or "phone+tablet" mode) on your GoPro Hero.
- Connect your GoPro using Wifi to your Mac. The default GoPro Wifi password is "goprohero".

If the GoPro cannot be controlled with the app or the preview does not work then completely power off the GoPro by removing both the USB cable and the battery.

Technically “works”, but poorly executed app.
Advertises “live video preview” but doesn’t actually have the functionality to display such a preview until you allow it in MacOS firewall options. This isn’t noted anywhere in the description, so everyday users assume it doesn’t work. And rightfully so. The developer emailed me with this fix, and although it is extremely poor quality and nowhere near a usable frame rate, the preview technically “works”. Probably worth $3 and useful only to frame shots before you press record. It is in no way useful for "in the moment” monitoring of your video footage. Developer should post this fix publicly as I’m sure his inbox is riddled with angry users such as myself. Take note. Furthermore, the GoPro apps for Ipad and iPhone run cirles around this thing, and I’m on a current Macbook Pro. You’re better off to use those if you have the hardware.
framerate
Why is the framerate of the video so brutally slow? The video quality is low enough that I should be getting more than one frame every 5 seconds. App crashes even without interaction. How is this even for sale on the app store??
Do Not Buy
This application should not exist! waste of money.
When it finally connects to the go pro you cant use any of the funcitons properly and on top of that the image is very blury and choppy.
