Description

Cinch gives you simple, mouse or trackpad-driven window management by defining the left, right, and top edges of your screen as 'hot zones'. Drag a window until the cursor hits one of these zones then drop the window to have it cinch into place.

Cinching to the left or right edges of the screen will resize the window to fill half the screen, allowing you to easily compare two windows side-by-side (splitscreen).

Cinching to the top edge of the screen will maximize the window to fill the entire screen (fullscreen).

Dragging a window away from its cinched position will restore the window to its original size.

can’t snap to corners like in Better Snap Tool

does basic snapping really well but would love to be able to snap to corners.. say top left or bottom right.. The App called Better snap tool allows just that and costs only 2$

It works, but is awful for full-screen use

The main use case I have for 3rd party window management software is to be able to maximize a window without going into Apple’s “Full Screen” mode. With Cinch, the way to do that is by dragging your window to the top of the screen. However, this is also macOS’s method of moving the window to a second desktop, which means the two interaction models are at odds with each other, triggering the one I don’t want more often than not. For my needs, this needs to be rethought. The action also doesn’t feed very determinate - sometimes nothing happens, and sometimes I get the “Cinch” dotted outline; I want this action to be rock solid, as I need this software to get out the way and make me more productive, not make me fight with it.

Stopped working with Mojave

Worked perfectly until Mojave.

Please fix this as it was a godsend when it worked!!

Or better still, Apple please put this in MacOS.
Windows is killing you on window organisation.
