App doesn’t work anymore

I changed phone and now the application won’t connect to my prosthetic knee. I have no way of knowing the charge left. Please fix it 😕

Developer Response ,

If you cannot connect after switching to a new iPhone, the Bluetooth connection needs to be reset. While the phone's settings were transferred to the new phone, the Bluetooth pairing between phone and prosthetic component is no longer valid, since the phone changed. 1) Please open the Cockpit app, in the menu select “Manage components”, tap on “Edit”, and then on the trashcan symbol next to the component to delete the stored connection. 2) Then open the iPhone's settings, select Bluetooth and in the list of connected devices find your prosthetic component. The name starts with OB_ Tap on the (i) icon next to the name and select “Forget this device”. 3) Open the Cockpit app again, if the connection wizard appears, follow the instructions to set up the new connection, if the wizard does not open automatically, go to “Manage components” and tap “+” to pair again. Excellent but could do with tweaks

The app is excellent and works exactly as promised. It makes it so much easier to switch modes (I have never been able to master the bounce method!) and I always have my iPhone on me so I never have to worry about forgetting the remote (the remote for the old Genium was horrible! Didn’t always work properly, was about as ugly as they could possibly have made it, and was far too easy to lose). The only couple of suggestions I have are to make it possible for the user to have a little more control over the settings on the knee (I know this is programmed into the knee and is not the app but it all goes together and I don’t think I should always have to make the four hour round trip drive to my prosthetist every time I want to adjust the resistance outside of the pathetic parameters available to me at home) and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update it to support Apple Watch!!! I use my watch for so much and it’s far more convenient when out and about, especially at the gym where I want my iPhone tucked away but my watch is conveniently strapped to my wrist. Being able to use the app from the watch would make life so much more convenient.

Developer Response ,

Only the latest versions of our prostheses and ortheses have new electronics parts and software which make them compatible with Apple mobile devices.
On the iPhone you can check which components are compatible in the Cockpit app's connection wizard on page 2/6 by touching "Check compatibility".
Older Geniums are only compatible with Android mobile devices and our remote control.
