The BCWF Conservation App enables IPhone users to take geo-referenced, time stamped photos or videos, to report issues related to illegal use, or abuse, of our natural resources. Great idea, but
When I open Map view I don't need to be reminded each time that "MapTracker can only access location when app is open", and that it has "specifically been denied access to update in the background".
I have turned these off to save battery life. This is obviously known by the developer as it is stated right in the app description regarding continuous GPS in the background.
Love it, a must-have
Myself and my entire field crew use this app. It easy to use and presents a major leap forward in conservation of natural resources.
Technology and conservation.
Kudos to the BC Wildlife Federation for bridging technology and conservation. The protection of wildlife and habitat is paramount, and this App provides a valuable resource for conservation officials.
