Needs upgrades
The community on the app is incredible. People are wonderful and the app has greatly enhanced my travel experiences. I have made many amazing and now long term friends that I wouldn’t have gotten if I didn’t try this app.
But the app is slow, lots of bugs and you will likely just end up sending your WhatsApp number to communicate due to the poor quality. Updates are needed and it could be better laid out.
Love
It is unfortunate to have to pay now - because I think it limits the amount of users who will be on this app now - but over the years I have had so many amazing experiences that would not have been possible without CS. I have hosted and been hosted in my own country and other countries and I have many cool stories to thank CS for. Definitely worth it if you love traveling or would like to meet travelers.
Covid didn't kill this
The owners did. They own other interests in competition with CS so they torpedoed it. terrible when and app interfaces completely ruined the immediacy of connecting with others, and nothing ever got done about abusers and spam for almost a decade. They ruined what they had so thoroughly that it just doesn't makes sense to use it when you could use a Facebook group or....anything else.
