App is temperamental
The classes are great but the app drives me nuts. It is not user friendly and it crashes. Better to go online. Also, the content needs a refresh for those who are longtime members. The instructors are all great though, regardless of what people say. They are well designed classes.
I just wish they would ask members what classes we would like to see.
Great content. Too many emails.
Craftsy is constantly blowing up my email inbox. Tried to find email preferences in the app settings so that I wouldn’t have to completely unsubscribe, but there were no options. All or nothing. I had to unsubscribe. One time per week and I would probably read the emails. Every day and I just delete them because they are a nuisance.
Has potential
Overall I like having an app to watch the classes on my iPad since that’s what I usually use rather than a computer but there are some issues with it though.
Pros:
-I can favorite classes to watch any time (so nice! No more need to bookmark or pin and it doesn’t clutter up my internet tabs)
-App is pretty easy to navigate (nothing super confusing, no annoying ads that I’ve seen, buttons make sense where they are placed.)
-Keeps me logged in (another problem with using the bookmark/website, always logged me out)
Cons:
-You need to know the exact name of classes to find particular ones (if it has “&” but you type “and” it can’t find it)
-It doesn’t seem to let you directly print/download any materials from the classes (kept telling me I needed to log in even though I clearly was since I just watched the class)
-Apparently the old app had a bunch of extra features like sorting classes or searching instructors and that makes sense, this is really just a barebones app that needs work done
