Checks all the boxes
I have a bit of an obsessive brain, so I had to download every single app in this category to be able to pick one. Crown + Flint is a mile ahead, and it checks all the boxes for me. The light meter works really well and the logging tools are well built. But my favourite thing is being able to follow the journey of each roll, from storage to the camera, then to the lab and finally to archival. This is exactly what I was looking for, I can’t recommend it enough!
It’s All in One App
A simple well laid out app that lets you track cameras, lenses and film stock. You can add notes to the light meter data and the sample image captured for each frame taken.
The app can record when you change a lens mid roll or move film from one camera to another halfway through the roll. It keeps track of pushing and pulling film too.
The app is meant for film shooters but I also added my digital camera and created a “fake film roll” so I could track my adapted manual focus lenses, aperture data and any notes that my digital camera doesn’t record. Super handy. Two thumbs up from me for sure.
