Curse of Aros 9+

Curse of Aros is a great 2-D open world Rpg that’s utilizes many aspects such as (but not limited to) mining, logging, fishing, smelting, and crafting, all while making them correlate with each other in order for you, the player, to keep wanting to level up each of them. An example of this can been seen when a player would want woodcutting (logging) and crafting to get to level 40 in order to cut oak trees so that they could craft experience runes to help them level up other skills faster. Another awesome mechanic to the games is it’s combat system, which utilizes the defeat of mobs in order to get experience points. These experience points help you level up your character and get you stat points that can be used to level up your health, defence, accuracy, and strength. Although the process of killing and levelling up can be tiresome and reparative as you go on, there are some mobs that drop unique items that make you want to grind them more. Now what I think is stopping this game for being 5 stars for me is a lack of a few quality of life features and a few gameplay mechanics that I think need improving.

Quality of life features:
- A map that can show you where you are and what is in the world.
- A slot for axes, poles, and pic axes. Switching between different tools for different jobs is very time killing especially when you don’t want to load up you inventory with different tools in order to have more room for minerals and wood.
- Mounts for travel would make travelling long distances a lot more fun and faster, even though you can teleport with the right materials, you still have to walk long distances just to get to a teleporter

Gameplay Mechanics:
- more unique drops for mobs. When killing a mob (early game) the mob will either drop armour that you already have, drop types of potions, and may drop a pet depending on the mob it is. If their were more unique drops/armour for mobs that you could only get by killing a specific mob then it would give the player more options and a better purpose for wanting to grind.
- Different classes, if different classes were added it would give more people an option for combats and provide more content towards the people who do not want to play with just a sword

P.s The music for this game is truly stellar and fits the atmosphere of the game. Also not allowing cheating in the game is truly an amazing feature, which gives the players an incentive that if they want to get good, they have to work hard for it.

It opens but freezes on opening screen.
