Description

Are you planning to be a Permanent Resident in Canada and apply for Citizenship someday? If so, this is the app for you!

"Days in Canada" will help you manage your trips to/from Canada and also your status changes. From this information we calculate how long you've been in the country and give you the estimate date that you will be able to apply for Canadian citizenship. Additionally, you will get a notification when the day finally comes!

All information is saved on iCloud and synced to your devices, so you can manage it from your iPhone, iPad and even from your Mac.

We have tested and compared many results to the official Physical Presence Calculator so we believe "Days in Canada" is very reliable. When it's time to apply, you still need to use the official calculator to generate the application documents, but since you'll have all the information in hand, that process will be much easier! If, by any chance, you find out that the results in the app are not the same as the official calculator, please let us know so we can improve the algorithm to others ;)

Features resume:
- Manage your trips
- Keep track of how many days you've been in Canada and your citizenship application date
- Get a notification when it's time to apply
- Sync your data to iCloud
- Supported on iPhone, iPad and Mac

Currently it doesn't support management of "time serving a sentence for an offence in Canada”.

Known issues:
- For a few event timelines, the application day can vary from the official physical presence calculator by 1 day.

What’s New

No option for International students 2 year requirement, and Calculates only for one person

If you have spent time as Temporary Resident in Canada that could reduce your days requirement by up to a year. So instead of 3 years you can be a Permanent Resident for 2 years and apply for your citizenship. Dev’s please include this option for us former International Students or Temporary Residence.
Also, having option to calculate for multiple people would be a welcomed addition.
For $4 app thats the least someone can expect.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the review! The app actually calculates temporary resident points as well - when adding your entry/exit dates, you just have to disable the "Permanent Resident?" switch when you are a temporary resident. You'll see your points on the top. As soon as you add an entry as a permanent resident it will be able to calculate the date that you'll get the total 1095 points. As for the option to calculate for multiple people, that's a great idea! I'll see what I can do :)
