Description

Dice by PCalc, is a physics-based simulation of polyhedral dice for use in tabletop role-playing games with dungeons and/or dragons.

Featuring near-photorealistic 3D graphics, it comes with a variety of gorgeous dice sets. Throw multiple dice with advantage or disadvantage, and any given modifier, and the app will automatically calculate the correct total.

You can save named presets to quickly roll the attack of your favorite sword, or figure out exactly how much damage your bard took from those seventeen giant rats. Flick dice to fire them across the screen when the numbers don’t go your way.

Create custom dice with any text or emoji on the faces, or import your own images, and easily share your dice with friends.

Supports split screen and slide-over on the iPad, so you can put it alongside your other RPG apps, and speech synthesis that can read out the list of dice and the results. Also comes with a companion Apple Watch app, so you'll never be without a D20 again. Even supports AR!

Added a new scary dice theme, “Ectoplasm”.
Added an option to use Personal Voice on iOS 17 for reading out dice and results.
All dice images are now drawn using vector graphics for sharper visuals.
Improved the look of the complications on the Apple Watch.
Improved the 3D Model Test section.
The watch app now shows up in the quick launch widget on watchOS 10.
The breakdown display mode now combines the dice of a D100 into a single result per pair.
Fixed a problem displaying the subtotal for Fate dice.
Fixed a crash on the Apple Watch when rolling a critical after switching out of the app and back in.

Perfect

I laughed the first time I rolled a Critical Fail. One bit of feedback is that it wasn't obvious how to change from the Simple interface.

Great app but recently always crashes on launch for watchOS

I can’t use it on watch anymore. As soon as the app opens on the watch it crashes. Still works great on iPhone.

Please try deleting and re-installing the app in your watch. If that doesn’t help, please get in touch at support@pcalc.com with your watchOS version and watch model.

Sublimely simple AND effective

Not joking when I say this app demonstrates what the AppStore is all about. An App that is well written, well tested, well designed and ACTUALLY cared about by the developer. This is the type of app and type of developer who has earned my money and respect with their work. …and seriously, this is a dice rolling app, why the heck am I wasting all these words on a ridiculous dice app??? Because it is THE BEST DICE ROLLING APP you might possible ever see. :-)
