Downcast 4+

I’ve been using Downcast for about 2 years - since OS 10.10 I have sporadic crashes - worst part is once it starts crashing it will relaunch go for a bit, and crash again.

Difficult to use when this is happening. Its been happening since the last several versions of Downcast software, and last few versions of OSX. Great when it works, has syncing so all my playlists and podcasts are the same across all devices. But - Downcast is no longer the only player that does this, hasn’t been for awhile. If stability doesn’t improve, then its not worth going with this app when there are others to choose from.

Hoping there’s a fix soon.

I have this app setup to keep the last 4 podcast for certain podcast. it did that for the 1st 4 now it doesn't seem to refreah. says it did but when i hit refreash on the app it gets all the new podcasts. So the idea of setting this app one time and let it get and sort your podcasts is a myth/dream... if i still have to go get them I don't need this app...
I am sick of just crap tech...Im not just talking about this app..

Moved to Downcast over the weekend to escape Catalina's garbage podcast app that doesn't let me do things in bulk and hides my files in an obscure directory with a random file name.

Downcast has its own frustrations, like deleting 700 episodes despite the 'Keep All' setting, and the IOS app often forgetting where I am in a podcast. I've had to disable all syncing, so now I'll use my Mac to archive and my iPhone to play, and I'll have to manually copy files over if I want to replay any old episodes. Fingers crossed it won't delete anything now.
