Dr. Prius is an app developed to help professional Toyota/Lexus hybrid repair shop or owners to examine the health of the High Voltage battery. It turns your mobile device into a professional diagnostic equipment that usually cost thousand of dollars, it is being trusted by 253+ professional repair shops around the world.
Dr. Prius perform test and provides access to all the relevant battery information to quickly help identify problems with a simple touch on the screen of a smartphone, do not fall victim to bad battery, test the battery and print the certificate to prove the health of the battery system.
Note: This app requires a ELM327 Bluetooth OBD interface to communicate with your hybrid vehicle, most of the cheap clone ELM327 will not work due to inability to switch between ECUs in your vehicle. Make sure to use wifi obd2 reader as Bluetooth OBD doesn’t work with iPhones.
Useful app for hybrid battery diagnostics
Helped me to diagnose three bad cells in my hybrid battery, give me an approximate life of battery left by doing a voltage drop test, and turn off the seatbelt, backup beeps on my Gen 3 Prius. Also reads and clears check engine codes. Would be cool if there were a few options in the way the voltages and screens are displayed. I recommend a higher quality Bluetooth obd adapter like “veepack” brand, as the elm 327 would not work, and the app has a section explaining why cheap adapters don’t work ✅👍
Doesn’t work
Doesn’t connect to the OB2 device. Finds it but then doesn’t connect. Waited twice for half hour Checked all connections. Finally downloaded a different app and it indeed connect and read Water money. Buyer beware. I’ll request a refund
