Nice extension but would love a standalone version

If you’re going to call it DXO OpticsPro for Photos, the PRO in the name should mean that you could export imgae to Lossless image format (PNG or TIFF) right now, Photos app will only send edited RAW back as a JPG lossy format.

DxO could make this app also usable in standalone mode (not inside Photos app) that way, the app could provideusual export options like TIFF and PNG without compression.

Still no standalone version to allow PNG or TIFF uncompressed export (checked September 2017.. would love to use it but this lack of export option severely cripples the app from being nothing more than a fun toy.

Planned obsolescence

DxO has stopped supporting older cameras. So do not get this app if you have some good old gear. If you have new camera, expect the support to it removed when they consider it's too old. ...which could be tomorrow.

Slow

No free trial. Round tripping slow (slow to get out of Photos into DXO and slow go get back to Photos). Limited set of adjustments, could not get rid of purple fringing as I was able to do in the full version of DXO.
