e-Sword X initially installs with the King James Bible and the King James with Strong's numbers study Bible, the Strong's Lexicon, Smith's Bible dictionary, F. B. Meyer devotional commentary, and the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge cross references. There are over one hundred additional Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, lexicons, reference books and devotionals that you can download and add to your library absolutely free!
Also available are some "locked" resources which must be purchased from their publisher. These are copyright and licensing requirements which are unavoidable.
Please note that e-Sword X is an *ENGLISH* release (but does include Spanish UI localization.) There are dozens of non-English Bibles available, but all other content is in English.

I like this program it works.
AN EXCELLENT BIBLE STUDY RESOURCE
I can only affirm what has already been said about this resource. I have it downloaded on my desktop and my iPad. There’re so many helps in e-Sword to aid and enhance one’s Bible study, concordance, dictionaries, etc. You don’t have to know Greek and Hebrew but you have Strong’s at your fingertips to show you the meaning of the original text. If one cannot afford commentaries, e-Sword offers commentary from John Gill and Matthew Henry both excellent for free. You can purchase for a nominal price an enhanced cross reference of scriptures that is second to none and much more. I could say more but it has already been said by others.

I love this program. I use it every day. It is easy to use and I have 3 different versions of the Bible up on my screen at all times at my fingertips. I can vary those and/or I can add other versions of the Bible if I want as many versions are offered. This program allows you to highlight and copy the verses (I copy to “pages" so I can memorize verses). I can carry it anywhere - I have it on ALL of my devices - Iphone, Ipad and MacBook Pro. I find it EASY on the eyes because I can read it on a well lit screen - and since I need reading glasses now - well - it’s just marvelous. And I can see from the screen here that I am not even utilitiing ALL that this awesome program offers. I give it a 20/10. I HIGHLY recommend it to EVERYONE because I cannot say enough good things about it ! I would be lost without it and I study the Bible virtually every day because ot it ! I cannot believe that I didn’t know about it SOONER !
