Description
Ear Trainer is a series of fun field-tested exercises for mastering your essential aural skills.
The training feels like an engaging game. You hear a melody and try to match it using a virtual piano keyboard.
Beginning with the simplest one or two note phrases you’ll gradually learn the language of music! Where notes are letters, short phrases or motives are words, and longer phrases are whole sentences.
You’ll step by step learn to play music by ear, follow the rhythm, and use accents. We’ll start with just five notes of pentatonic — the easiest, most important and popular scale in the world music culture.
It won’t take long to see that the app is much more efficient and exciting compared to boring conventional interval, scale, and chord exercises.

• New exercises
In addition to a modern, user-friendly design, we have prepared some new exercises for all levels of users, from the beginners to the professionals. Whether you're just taking your first steps trying to find the melody of your favorite song, or trying to figure out some difficult instrumental solos by ear, you'll find hearing exercises to suit your skill level.
• New backing tracks and music styles
We have added some backing tracks in the Blues, Swing, Bossa Nova, Funk Fusion styles. By practicing to recognize the musical phrases by ear, you will get acquainted with the principles that underlie the structure of a melody in these styles.
• Phrases played by live musicians
At advanced levels, you will listen to musical phrases played by live musicians and learn to recognize the sound of different musical instruments by ear.
