Description

Drawings that communicate.

EazyDraw is a productivity tool for the expression and transmission of knowledge. Words alone are rarely adequate to communicate Information, concepts and ideas. Amplify the expression of your creativity with integrated text, symbols and diagrams.

EazyDraw provides a balanced feature set that includes tools needed for technical drawing, web and App graphic design, print publishing, logos, page - text layout and more. Easy enough for everyone but with the depth your project will need.

Includes comprehensive support for bitmap and vector graphic formats: Import and ungroup for edit PDF, and EPS. Import and export SVG and now DXF. Preview and publish to EPS and TIFF with RGB or CMYK process colors. Exchange scaled CAD drawings using DXF. Preview and publish wide gamut colors for web graphics. Create macOS, iOS, and watchOS app development graphics with Display P3 colors.

EazyDraw provides full native support for SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) file format. With EazyDraw you may import and edit SVG, EPS, and PDF vector drawings. Export formats include: SVG, PDF, EPS, JPG, TIF, Favicon, Keynote and others.

Wide color gamut enhances the visual experience on compatible displays.

Newer Macs (powerBooks, and iMacs late 2015 and newer) have displays that provide P3 Colors. The P3 color space has a much wider color gamut than sRGB. Simple terms: colors can be brighter on a P3 screen. Actually there are two requirements to see these brighter colors, the App must support and present P3 colors and the display must be a P3 display.

EazyDraw 9 is now fully color managed and supports P3 colors on P3 screens. EazyDraw 9 delivers bright sRGB colors on screens that are non-P3. For everyday use this is all automatic, on newer iMacs and PowerBooks the colors will simply look better

What’s New

Version 11.8.2

EazyDraw 11.8.2 is the primary release of macOS Sequoia compatibility.

EazyDraw Version 11.8.2 adds two new features for dashed lines: convert to strokes and convert dashes to spaces. Converting Dashes to Strokes generates a new individual dash segment with Bézier curves or lines. Dashes to Spaces flips spaces of a dashed curve to the dashes and dashes to spaces.  Use the Tools -> Convert To submenu to access the new dash convert commands.  Find the new commands on the Attributes bar, the Dashes popup, and the Convert To buttons.

Fixed issues on macOS Sequoia related to redo of undo and the state of selected graphics. The issue only related to the intermediate state of selected graphics; the actual undo and redo were performed properly. Now, undo, redo, and subsequent undo redo sequences behave properly, including selected graphic states.

EazyDraw now automatically names graphics created by dragging and dropping an image file. The file name is assigned to the graphic name, and these names are shown on the Easy Look report.

This version of EazyDraw corrects a possible crash or hang when dragging and dropping a bitmap image into a drawing on the newest versions of macOS, Sonoma, and Sequoia.  We found this problem only from reports of crashes shared by the user community with Apple, the crash being too rare to reproduce in test sessions.

Impossible to work with. (CORRECTED)

I orginally worte this and I'm leaving it for informative purposes. I've since contacted the folks at EazyDraw and I have totally changed my mind. Original post: "I love the idea for this app. This app should theoretically have all the features I need for a specific taks as an engineering consultant. What I was hoping was that this could be a replacement for some of the features I was using on Bluebeam Revu - namely annotation of PDF architectural plans. Often I have to explain modifications I wish we could make to an architectural detail to my clients. I would like to be able to erase some of the lines in the pdf, replace with new ones, color and hatch shapes, inlude call outs, etc. The problem is that on a M1 Max Macbook Pro 16 inch, 64 GB, the app freezes as soon as I touch anything. Were this to be a workable app, I would pay good money for these features. I really hope you can test this out with full size architectural drawings in PDF. If this ever works, I will be first in line to purchase even if it's a couple of hundred dollars." WHAT I'VE LEARNED: I've contacted the folk at Eazydraw. Let me tell you guys, you've problably never had such responsive service. I've downloaded the full app to get a better idea of integrating it into my company's workflow. We do building envelope inspection and forensic engineering and Cx. We don't design, but rather we assist designers so we don't generally use AutoCAD or Revit. We used to work with Bluebeam on Windows but having recently made the switch to a Mac, we were looking for alternatives. This is actually a pretty powerfull app and I really recommend you give it a serious try if your needs are similar to ours. The workflow is pretty different from Bluebeam for annotations, but if anything, this allows for more flexibility. I'm still getting used to the app but after having played around with it a bit, I think this may just be a great app for our needs.

Buggy version!

Seams very capable but freezes and does not function properly. The demo version on their website works fine so it should be resolved soon I guess.

steep learning curve but worth it

I used this program extensively in the past and was very happy with it. I am pleased to see it is still available.
