Ratings and Reviews
Misleading App
I purchased this app based upon the video on 2019 Rules from the app owner which marketed it to get the app for 2019 rules. I purchased it in December expecting to get the new rules and the app only covered existing rules. I wrote the Developer to find out when the app will update for 2019. NO RESPONSE! So far very disappointed.
UPDATE- Finally heard from App Developer and he reports I will receive 2019 Rules Update very shortly. The app layout is excellent so once it is current it could be a great app. Looking forward to update.
Have to pay for new rules
Very disappointed with this company. There were only few changes to the rules and now they force you to purchase the new updated version. I can’t open the old version as it takes you to a page to purchase the updated version. I liked the app and it was very useful but now I am going to look for something else. You are just doing a money grab!!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
You are correct that with the 2023 rule revision there have not been too many changes but nevertheless, they made it necessary to update the entire app. Furthermore, the new "back on the line" relief procedure made it necessary to re-program all animated slide shows and several videos.
We no longer display the 2019 rules in the app to prevent users from following outdated rules and thus incurring penalties.
As stated in the description in the App Store as well as in the promotional text within the app, the purchase of "iGolfrules" is valid for one "rule period" (usually a four year cycle). The last rule period ended on 12/31/2022.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to finance the maintenance and regular updates of the app by means of a one-time payment. The annual price is currently set at the approximate cost of a golf ball, which in our humble opinion should be adequate.
When purchasing the new version "iGolfrules 2023", you will have access to all contents of the app until the next rule revision (expected on 01/01/2027). Also included are all updates that take place during this period.
