ezRide Ottawa offers offline trip planning in the public transport system of Ottawa OC Transpo.

Just pick your departure and destination point and get a list of suggested routes including all the transfers and scheduled departure/arrival times sorted by the time of departure. You can then view detailed information of the routes, display them on the map etc.

Very good travel planner, a bit expensive

The app contains easy-to-use route maps and timetables. And it has a good travel planner, with multiple suggested routes to get you where you are going.

It works very well, and is easier to use than the OC Transpo trip planner and even Google maps. However, after the first month trial period, there is a monthly subscription that i find too expensive

Lame trial version nearly useless

Trial version did NOT give me a route at all. The only thing it's good for is showing the route of a particular bus. But when you enter the start and end points there is no suggested route given, nothing happens. I happen to know what bus to take on the suggested route so I could figure out when the stop was to get off, but if I hadn't already known the bus number this would have been a waste of space on my iPad screen. Useless.

Also after the trial period you have to pay $5 to continue. Waste of money based on what I've seen.
