Good game
Keep up the good work
Fun to play casually, horrible for completionists
Fancade as a concept is amazing. There are many different kinds of mini games(generally clones of other mobile games) all in one app made by a single person. You can also make and play other players levels. However a lot of the main games to play tend to have a lot of small flaws compared to their more polished counterparts that make it annoying for people who want to finish every level.
These flaws include flaws in the controls or level design that make it more frustrating than fun at times. A few examples include:
-Gobble has a level (27) where you need to wait a few minutes just to progress the level due to its design
-Mini golf lacks the option to zoom out of the course so there are times where you can’t see the hole except at the very beginning of the level preview
-Dash (impossible game or geometry dash clone) has a couple levels where you will have to continually replay due to unfair level design where you have to guess which path to take (the levels are short though so this isn’t a big deal)
-Rotix (polysphere clone) lacks enough pixels to be able to make an image that actually looks like what it’s supposed to be. Most of the levels aren’t very satisfying as a result and can really feel like guesswork at times
-Pivot has horrible controls that make traversing the level annoying and some of the deaths feel like it’s not your fault but the game instead. Some of the levels have deliberately unfair design to make you die on purpose and replay multiple times
-Pushbox (sokoban clone) lacks an undo button so if you accidentally made a mistake swiping the screen you must start over again
-Crawlers balance has the crawlers move on their own as a part of the level design making the levels a race against time when they walk towards their own death. They can also bounce on the seesaw for no rhyme or reason instantly falling
-Popix has a lot of levels being incredibly luck based. Sometimes (especially with moving blocks) the balls phase through walls for no reason. The aiming in this and other games are also very rough (possibly due to its pixel design)
Thankfully to progress to the next world (new levels/games) you only need to complete half of the available levels so theoretically you could just skip them. These levels are also very short so a lot these flaws can be excused by just replaying them (and inevitably watching a bunch of ads in the process of replaying unless you payed for a subscription). It still hampers what could of been a perfect game into a game with lot of rough edges. In the end this game is completely free with minimal ads anyway so can’t be too mad in the end. I hope future updates will be spent polishing the less fun and rough games for a more fun experience instead of creating more games but with flawed experiences.
(As a side note the the like and dislike system for rating any of the main games or fan created games it incredibly useless as you can’t see the number of dislikes only the total. So you can’t actually tell if the game is good when the only metric there is is the number of plays to likes. There is also no comment system so there is almost no way of giving any feedback whatsoever so it seems almost impossible for a game to improve and be fixed)
More People need to play this!
This is a genuinely great game that you can pick up and play with multiple different types of games and it’s highly underrated, and will never get boring with how much people create or that you even could. Do yourself a favour and please support this game
