Description

An elegant and lightweight RSS client and news reader for your Mac. Feedy uses tweet data to rate the popularity of each story, helping you find the content that is most interesting and noteworthy.

FEATURES:

- Built-in reader provides full-length, clutter-free articles
- Top stories highlighted in the list and menu bar so you don't miss them
- Limit the number of stories by popularity from feeds with too much content
- Personal keywords let you highlight stories matching your interests
- Sort stories by time or by popularity
- Folders, favorites, search, notifications, and more

How do the popularity ratings work?

Feedy assigns each item in your feeds a rating. The rating is generated based on the number of tweets mentioning the article, which is a powerful metric of how interesting and noteworthy an article is. Feedy also assigns high ratings for feeds that update infrequently, so you don't miss that rare post from your favorite small website or blog.

Strong first version

I like this app because I prefer not to read each story in each feed, but rather scroll through an aggregated list of stories from all feeds and pick and choose what seems interesting. This app supports that pretty well, and I like the interface. I do wish I could open two stories at once in different windows, and there are a few feeds (likely broken feeds) that Feedy doesn't parse as well as other apps. That said, I think this is a strong 4 star app, and look forward to future versions and development.

Does what it says

Its an overall nice looking app and its fast loading the subscriptions. No place to enter in your twitter and facebook feeds so don't understand why it was put there. There is no login ability for readability where I have an account so not sure what the app author was referring to.
