Great game but could use many performance tweaks.
It’s a very interesting game from the hour I’ve played so far! Great level design, the artwork feels so unique and the voice acting isn’t “cringe”. I am however experiencing a couple performance issues. My 2018 iPad Pro is unable to maintain a smooth frame rate causing the panning to be jittery and a little hard on the eyes. Also, it causes my device to overheat even with the brightness only at 70%, so I’m not sure if there is room for optimization or not, but with the iPad Pro containing the A12x chip, it should be performing better.
Edit:To the dev that responded to this review? Your game should be optimized to run smoothly on Apple’s most powerful mobile devices.
Your frame pacing is not implemented in a fashion that behaves well with Apple’s Liquid Retina display. Myself and others have complained that your game causes batteries to drain and devices to overheat only to have the screen cut brightness after only 10 minutes.
Please optimize your app instead of telling customers to reduce quality settings. Highest quality mode should be able to run smoothly on the iPad Pro.
