Description
FolderToList automatically creates lists from selected folders. You can catalog a folder in your hard disk, or even an entire DVD, or an USB-stick.
You can choose to catalog only files, only folders or both. Moreover, you can choose to recursively list the files in the folders inside the parent one.

this software has huge potential to catalogue data
I used to this software to catalogue 7TB (886,000 files) of music to list albums by folders as arranged on two HDDs. It listed folders nested inside folders, and also listed files inside folders depending on the options I chose. The software is simple to use and it is fast.
I had searched a long time to find a simple app to list folders and files inside folders. I didn't want anything fancy like playlists or album covers. I just needed to compile data in a rational order and this software does that perfectly in a simple text file.
The app gave an 'unresponsive' warning when the folder hierarchy was complex, but I ignored the warning and the software continued working to completion.
Very Nice
This is a very nice app. I am wondering why the developer was lazy to write a clear description.
The app can even list the contents of the folders inside the parent folder. Great for searching purpose.
