Absolutely phenomenal application, this has complete changed my sales process for the better. This is a MUST for every salesperson including Realtors.
Desktop program good but app lacks versatility
After 9 months of using Follow Up Boss I have found that the desktop (PC / Mac) version is quite good. There are a couple of quirks but overall the desktop program is good. 5 stars.
Technical support is excellent. They are quick to respond and offer value added solutions to any issues I’ve encountered. Again, 5 stars.
The FUB mobile app (I’m on an iPhone) lacks the robustness of the desktop version. I understand that an app can’t duplicate the functionality of the desktop version of a program but in my experience a top salesperson doesn’t spend 8 hours in front of their desktop. We are on the move, on appointments, meeting clients, opening and showing homes, taking calls and emails on the road. We need a tool that is mobile friendly and works with us. A few areas that I have found lacking with the app: Not being able to search my lead/client tags is big detractor; having emails that I send from the app going through my iPhone mail app and not sent from the email address that is native to the app (this is fine if your iPhone mail app email address is the same as your FUB email address but if you have a personal or separate email in your mail app, FUB emails sent from the app will default to you mail app address); Not being able to set an time/date alert when I schedule a task on the app.
These are a few of the little things but they add up. The app needs a major update to be truly mobile functional. Other than tracking calls, you might as well bring your laptop every where you go and log into the desktop program when you’re on the road. It seems the app is just there for FUB to say they have an app; but it’s current version doesn’t really work. I’m looking forward to the major overhaul/update this app needs.
If you spend most of your sales day sitting in front of your computer or have an assistant who does, you will find the Desktop program is 9/10.
If you are out and about and need a versatile mobile CRM app, I think you will find the current version of this app lacking in basic functionality. Hopefully this will change with a new version update but it’s my 2 cents worth for right now...
