The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with the FreeStyle Libre Sensor. Now you can monitor your glucose on your phone without routine finger pricks! [1] Check your glucose by holding your phone near your Sensor.

You can use the app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow, and glucose history
* Add notes to track your food, insulin use, and exercise
* See glucose reports, including your Ambulatory Glucose Profile
* Connect to health care professionals and carers with LibreView and LibreLinkUp [2]

Why prick when you can scan?[1]

Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

If you like, you can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app and the Reader with the same Sensor. Start the Sensor with the Reader first, then scan with your phone. Remember that FreeStyle LibreLink and Readers do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your Sensor every 8 hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data.

FreeStyle LibreLink is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with a Sensor. For more information on how to use FreeStyle LibreLink, refer to the User’s Manual, which can be accessed through the app. If you require a printed User’s Manual, contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Support.

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system, as the App does not provide one. A finger prick test using a blood glucose meter is required during times of rapidly changing glucose levels, when interstitial fluid glucose levels may not accurately reflect blood glucose levels, or if hypoglycaemia or impending hypoglycaemia is reported by the Sensor, or when symptoms do not match the Sensor readings.

[2] Use of the FreeStyle LibreLink and LibreLinkUp apps requires registration with the LibreView system, which is provided by Abbott and Newyu, Inc.

Improvements needed, but a good start.

A suggestion would be the ability to export all data to a spreadsheet and PDF. I would also like the ability to view history grouped by week, month and year.
Also needs a way to manually enter data. Not much good tracking if you cannot enter your manual finger checks.

Sensor readings always low

My freestyle libre 1- After 7 days of reading the sensor or the meter gives out wrong readings. It tells me My glucose is low, but when I check with my finger pricks it tells me I’m in my range or good levels. What’s the issue here.

It was working

But since the latest iOS this app scans but doesn’t let me see the reading! It needs to be closed then reopened, no longer useful. Hopefully a fix is made soon. Obviously this is an issue that everyone is having based on all the recent reviews. We don’t all need to contact customer service, just download your app on the newest iOS and test it.

Developer Response ,

We’d like to follow up with you. If you’d like a member of our team to reach out, please send your contact information along with your review to customercarefreestylecanada@abbott.com email, and we will be in touch directly. Thank you!
