This entertaining and informative audioguide app has been developed to enhance the visitor experience of “Gauguin: Portraits,” a major exhibition at the National Gallery of Canada taking place May 24 to September 8, 2019.

The app includes short segments that offer fascinating information on individual paintings, prints and sculptures, encouraging a closer look at Gauguin’s technique and iconography, while also exploring the artist’s life and times. The app profiles selected works in the exhibition, and a selection of works in the Gallery’s European and American collection for more on Gauguin’s artistic influences.

- Jump to any artwork in the exhibition using the keypad
- Extend your exploration of Gauguin to works featured in the National Collection

Headphone Usage
Please be aware that Bluetooth headphones are not supported at this time. If you are using Bluetooth headphones we recommend using the app’s built-in phone speaker mode, or a set of wired headphones.

App looks fantastic tho audio didn’t work for me.

Prononciation de la version française laisse à désirer

Il s’agit d’une narratrice anglophone. Elle prononce crucifix « crucifixe », par exemple. Moins agréable à suivre à cause de ça.

Fun and informative

I used this while at the Gauguin Portraits show in Ottawa. Really easy to use and I loved discovering the stories behind the art.
