Description

Access your todos any time with this simple but powerful todo list. Good Todo is easy to use and syncs with your online account. iPhone AND iPad versions are both included in one download.

Create new todos, edit existing todos, mark todos as done or undone. Reorder todos up and down the list. Other features include categories, viewing attachments, separate todo lists for each day in the calendar, the ability to redate todos to different days, and emailing a todo to any email address.

The main feature, though, is the SIMPLICITY of the tool. Anyone can begin managing their todos immediately with Good Todo.

FEATURES:

- Reorder your todos (iPhone and iPad): tap-and-hold until little drag icons appear on right. Then drag todos up and down the list, and tap Done when complete.

- View links (iPhone): tap "View links" button to turn into links any phone numbers, email and Web addresses, etc. in the todo detail.

- Full screen (iPad): tap "Full screen" button to use the entire iPad's screen to read through any todo. This also turns on any links. (Operates much like "print" link in the web app.)

- Clear details (iPad): To clear the view of the right-hand pane in the iPad app, leaving only the todo list visible, swipe the right side of the screen to the left with two fingers.

- Capitalize first word of title (iPhone and iPad): new item in Settings allows you to decide whether the first word of a todo title should be capitalized by default.

- Swipe left to move ahead one day. Swipe right to back back a day.

- SEARCH: Pull down the todo list to reveal the search field.

It actually works!

I've tried MANY todo apps but Good Todo is the one I've stuck with. Everyday I find myself using it and getting things done. The online version has a clean minimalist look which I really appreciate. The iPhone/iPod Touch app isn't quite as attractive, and lacks some of the features the online version has such as the ability to search todos. I also wish the app allowed for a simple way to create subtasks (don't need subtask counts, etc.) as I find it extremely helpful when I can break larger tasks/projects down into manageable "next steps" but still keep them all together, and I like the feeling of checking things off each step of the way when working on a larger project. Tags would be nice too as they would help minimize the number of categories I have to create.

Having said all that, I really do like the simplicity of Good Todo, and the clean UI of their online service is a pleasure to use. Perhaps the single greatest edge Good Todo has over most other productivity apps is the ability to forward email directly to a Good Todo account, turning that email into a task on my todo list. While the app doesn't offer every feature I want, I readily confess that I use it every day and it's working for me! Mark Hurst, developer and author of Bit Literacy, is committed to ensuring his customers have a "good experience" when they use his products. His prompt and courteous responses to customer queries earns Good Todo 5 stars!

"Good" todo, GREAT app!

I tried Good Todo online and wanted to love it, the simplicity and underlying coherent data structure of the system shows a thinking mind behind it - after reading Bit Literacy I was hooked! I tried the trial online, but just couldn't get past having to read it in my iPhone browser and sadly went back to my "good-enough todo" app.

After my mother read Bit Literacy she made me go back and look at Good Todo with her. I said it was perfect, except for the lack of an iPhone app... and there on the website was their new APP!

I have been using it for a couple weeks, got a full subscription (worth every cent!), and now actually have a system for my todo's that really works!! My husband can even email me todo's! I can't believe how many things I've gotten done this week because I actually can look at my list without trepidation and procrastination!

I do hope that they make it so you can add categories in the app (right now it seems to be only online), and I haven't figured out how to delete a todo, but that might be me.... but they have been rapidly improving things in this new version, so I'm not going to say that changed my rating... the underlying structure is so good that details of features being worked on just doesn't matter.

Overall, there is no fancy feature of other todo apps that beat this well organized, clean, easy to look at, easy to use system!

Best implementation of a to do list.

GoodToDo is the first of many todo apps that I actually stick to using. It's use of email and start date instead of due date is the smartest and most efficient way to manage tasks. At least the one that works best for me. Now with the iPhone app, the product is finally complete.
