Discover new things with recommendations based on what you love and what’s trending across the services you already have access to. Search for titles to see which apps are streaming them.
Create a list for all your discoveries
Add interesting shows and movies to your Watchlist to keep track of your new discoveries and view them later. The Watchlist is shared across your devices, so you can even add to your Watchlist from your TV or phone and laptop through Search on any browser.
Take your favorites on-the-go
Your recommendations, Library and Watchlist go with you wherever you go, whether it is out the front door or just to the other room. Start streaming right on your mobile device, or download your previously purchased entertainment from your Library to watch when you're not connected.
Use your phone as your Google TV / Android TV remote
With a remote built right into the app, you can find something great to watch even when the couch has eaten your remote. And you can use your phone’s keyboard to quickly type complicated passwords, movie names or search terms on your Google TV or other Android TV OS device

Netflix and Google tv
I realized after a while that while using the Google tv app you can’t open Netflix. You can open every other app but Netflix which is really frustrating leading me to use the Netflix app, which is fine but I just wish there was a direct way to Netflix instead of using different apps that work for all streaming platforms. Other than that the app is okay it just takes a really long time for it to load up and sync to the tv properly.
It’s okay
This app was great, but now won’t connect to my tv. I have the same issue with my Google home app… :(
Waiting for show icons
It has been years now that they still cannot get the icons for all of my films to show, some cases the name and the icon does not show. I have sent in emails, screen shots etc and still wait. I can download the film and watch it, but shouldn’t a library show correctly? I have the latest version, IOS, newer iPad & iPhone, also with YouTube, why on the Apple TV are the shows not in alphabetical order? LIKE I SAID YEARS.
