Story thus far-
The evil Primorva were the first creatures to inhabit the free lands of Terenos, and the first embodiments of life’s basest cravings; hunger, lust, and pain. Like epic nightmares of dark fantasy fleeing from the dawn, they were driven into the shadows by the powerful Dawnseekers, a legendary squad of Heroes established to fight and defeat Primorva wherever they show up.
Now this epic dark force has managed to escape from their exile in the Umbral Plane; they have evolved far beyond the whispered legends of ‘beasties and boogeymen’ that were once told by parents to scare their children. In an unthinkable fantasy, the Primorvan forces learned to corrupt the free folk with their loathsome tactics, trading being free for unlimited power.
This is an invasion of unutterable terror and unthinkable insanity. Humanity isn’t just being conquered, it is being plunged into an epic nightmare from which it may never awaken.

Grind
I like the way the game mechanics work and the idea of it but it’s kinda grindy
lots of fun to start but
so starting the game the story is simple but interesting enough to hold my attention. gameplay is simple but strong and its fun playing tactically and mixing together different heroes abilities. the heroes themselves have some fun backstory elements and the designs are pretty dang solid. however they upped the prices of heroes afterwards which is a little lame considering you need to recycle heroes for materials to upgrade your main ones. I’ve only been through a few acts of the game and already feel like it’s a grind fest. Probably to encourage people to pay money to buy more heroes/upgrade materials. the specialized dungeons add some variety but again you hit a wall with your characters and need to grind to power them up to progress. I’ve seen promotional material of more dungeons but have yet to see any outside of the main ones. Also within the game they advertise new features like ‘hero trinkets’ and ‘skill transfers’ but I can’t find any news of when these might actually appear. The developers don’t really have any communication with the players. There’s no timeline or anything to really look forward too as they don’t really give you any sense of when or why things’ll happen. The official site has limited info on the actual game. There’s no community forum for players to discuss. It’s a good game but there are small quality of life things they can do to improve it. I’m tired of grinding my characters up already so I might have to wait for these new features or dungeons to come out to continue playing. Otherwise it’ll be me using the autorun feature while I’m doing something else. Which can be a frustrating feature because the characters AI makes stupid choices that can kill them on what should be an easily passable run.
Decent game
Not much tactical depth, aside from run your melee fighters at whatever needs killing and whack at it until it dies, heal up when you need to, and stay out of range from the exploding barrels. But it feels like the progression is good (getting rare heroes pretty quickly) so far. Only at the start of chapter 3 right now, so we’ll see how it goes from here.
