Compassionate and Sensible

If you use weed, your relationship with that habit can be complicated. There’s good and bad. This app honours both, and respects your right to control whether and how often you consume cannabis.

It feels healthier and more evolved than the all-or-nothing thinking I’m used to seeing. I used to feel judged and pressured by anti-drug programs, and out of place in stoner culture. This app and its whole philosophy is a happy medium that encourages you to choose what’s right for you without making you feel bad.

By helping me feel respected, supported, and in control, this app made a profound difference in how I see myself and my relationship with marijuana.

I only use the free version of the app - I haven’t subscribed to the “Grounded Plus” premium version. Still, I get a lot out of it. I used it first to take short breaks, and even though those breaks weren’t very long, they gave me a sense of control. Now I’m quitting altogether, but it’s not from a place of shame or guilt, it’s from a sense of exploration and courage. I’m moving towards who and how I want to be, not away from who I’m scared of being.

The best part of this app is the journal entries. I switched from vaping weed as a coping mechanism to writing about my feelings, which feels so much better. Understanding and investigating why I was using weed and what I was getting out of it helped me to understand myself and my needs without judgment.

I also like the resources: the Swiss study of quitting, and the daily themed tips. Both can be hard to find in the app, but provide a lot of insight and a good roadmap for what to expect.

If anyone in my life wants to take a tolerance break, or quit altogether, or just track their usage, this is the first (heck, the only) tool I’d recommend.

Decently helpful

I’m coming up on a week sober and it’s really helped me. I like that you keep a journal of how you feel and everything and how it’s been affecting you. I don’t have any one to really to talk to about it. so the app keeps me motivated, it’s nice to see how much time has passed and how much money I have saved it feels really good to check it everyday and be able to write in that journal and tick of the, “I didn’t smoke today”

Buggy app. Not worth the money.

I downloaded this app because I wanted something to help me quit smoking. It’s been a struggle for me. After downloading the app, I added the amount I smoke everyday and how much it costs me. Then I wanted to add a check-in to start filling out my progress. As I was going through the form, I clicked on the Triggers section and it took me to another form that didn’t let me save and I was met with a paywall. So i was faced with the decision to have to pay or quit this experience. I went ahead and did it because I felt like the experience was good so far. I trusted the top review. I paid then was able to save and go into the Session Information. This is where the low quality came out. The input field was crap and I couldn’t change the value. It finally somehow worked and I was able to exit and save the check in. So the check in form ended up being a draining experience. It actually made me want to smoke a joint. So stressful. Why did I pay so much for this experience. I want my money back.

After that I took a look at the community section and the app asked me to add a username. I did. Clicked save. Nothing happened.

I’m definitely smoking a joint after this. This app didn’t help me in any way.
