Words not imputing properly

This game seems great mostly, good solid design, easy to understand mechanics, tons of levels. But whenever I try to swipe a word it is either blocked by my finger so I miss a letter, or sometimes just straight up doesn’t work. Not sure if there’s some mechanic I’m missing, but since stars are awarded by how many swipes you make this is really annoying when it messes up

Was really enjoy the game until the third test showed up and I was one star short to continue playing a triple checked all the levels have 3/3 stars so the only way to continue is to buy a star which seems to be broken as trying to adjust the number of stars I buy does nothing. So yeah cool game too bad it uses annoying tactics to try to get ppl to buy in game items..
