Syncs across devices, even to a Mac no extra charge!

First let me say that I am very new to this habit tracker app but so far, my impressions are very positive.
-There are NO subscriptions.
-The app automatically uses iCloud so it syncs with all of your devices. This indicates to me that none of your data is being recorded or tracked by 3rd parties.
-I am still somewhat shocked that the very reasonable cost even includes the app on the Mac, for free. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced this on another app. Usually the Mac app is an additional charge.
-The app also has some very good tips to get you started. You can go it alone or try one of their suggestions.
-Very inexpensive with no ongoing charges; so if your considering an app to help you with whatever habit you’d like to start (or stop); look no further. This is for you.

I just decided to try this app out. And it was actually useful for one day.

I stayed up late working the night before, my body was sore, I had a lot of little lot of little excuses like that not to go for my morning run but when a Henry habit notification came up on my iPad to do just that, I asked myself “do I really need to skip my run and of course the answer was no”. If it weren’t for that little reminder if I’m being honest I probably wouldn’t have even thought to go for a run.

All that being said. I’m busy just like pretty much every one else on the planet. That means if something doesn’t absolutely have to be done. A lot of the times I’ll completely forget to do it. What I’m getting at here is even though it literally takes just a second I’ll forget mark a daily habit as completed. Therefore the statistics in the henry habits app will be very inaccurate for me if I can’t edit the information, I’ll therefore lose interest in using the app at all.

P.S you shouldn’t make it too easy to edit the the habits because you don’t want mistakes to be made with your data in this habits app either. For example I don’t think you should be able to edit data in the app for more than 2 days, because if you haven’t fixed the problem by then you’re probably not keeping up with the Daily Habits anyways. And there could be a message that pops up saying something like “are you sure you completed this task?” To ensure that no incorrect information is entered.

I’m probably not the only one who has this problem with the app, since daily habits are to keep you safe from burnout, daily habits are only important over the long run, you can’t really feel the importance of them in the moment of every day life. Therefore your mind is usually going to be focussed on what’s vitally important in your life at the moment, not on daily habits.

P.P.S if there is already a way to edit your daily tasks streak that I’m not aware of, please give me a developer response to tell me how and I’ll give you the five stars you deserve.

You can disregard the suggestions I made about editing info in the app, they were made on the assumption that no editing could be done at all. They were just my way of asking for at least a minimum editing for mistakes be made possible, maybe I should have just emailed the question to this developer now that see how easy it, or better yet just took a second to figure it out for myself.

Hello, are you suggesting that it shouldn't be possible to mark a habit as done after the day passed, or at least have some confirmation? Or are you looking for the way to edit the streak? I'll try to answer both:

You can indeed update habits after the fact. The reason for this is that as you said we're all busy and sometimes we may forget to actually log the habit as done. A lot of people said Henry helped them build good habits and they stuck to them regardless, but sometimes forgot to log them. This feature is also here for people who are coming form another app and want to add their data.

If you are not sure about how this works, you can tap on a day in the past to mark it as done (or not done if it was already done). The streak will then update, and this will also make sure the start date is correct.
