Ratings and Reviews
For MY purpose, this is wonderful...
I want to learn how to make / read / pronounce the Devenagari alphabet, for learning Sanskrit ( which Elisabeth Haich said was the ONLY human language formed to speak of origins/causes, instead of being formed to speak of effects, primarily )
Anyways, since
a) there is no Learn Devenagari app that works right, &
b) ttbomk, Hindi & Sanskrit share the same alphabet,
then this is my learning-means!
The letters are put together in an order that is, for an anglo, counter-intuitive,
so beginning with so-fundamental basis as this makes long-term sense...
To the dev, thank you for making this!
Salut, Namaste, & Kaizen, eh?
( :
UPDATE: I hadn't known that only the vowels were unlocked, & that the consonants were for-$...
So, digging online, it seems some of the Sanskrit alphabet are missing, so for me no longer best:
if I have to invest in Sanskrit education, then investing also in this makes less sense, helpful though it is, for the part of what I need, that it covers...
Maybe I will spend the $1 US to get this as well, maybe I will just only get the Sanskrit Distance Learning Program stuff from the US branch of that Sanskrit org...
Anyways, I don't willingly mislead, & had accidentally done so, so fixed!
Still a nice & good little app, though you need to go on wikipedia to discern what sound the audio is giving, too frequently
( diff between similar sounds need visual indications, for me! )
: )
This app is great
My mom is trying to teach me how to write in Hindi and this app helps me do it it says the sound and then makes you trace the Hindi letter this makes learning Hindi fun
