Home Assistant Companion requires a configured Home Assistant instance. The instance must use Home Assistant Cloud or be accessible from the Internet and secured with a valid, non self-signed, SSL certificate for location tracking. Basic notifications work without external access.

I am Obsessed with HomeAssistant
I keep telling anybody willing to listen about how awesome HomeAssistant is. My girlfriend is tired of hearing about the automations I’ve created. This app ties everything together into a wonderful mobile experience that improves on the automation options you can program.
I can’t say enough how much I love HomeAssistant.
Certificate Error
Out of the box, fails with certificate error, no option to accept certificate and no docs on how to fix. Buh-bye.
