Real they r the best to book only hotels with for sure

The app charges more than it discloses

Stay away from this app and Hotwire in general. The hotels have hidden fees and it’s not clear until arrival to the hotel. Their customer service is in the Philippines (of course) and they not only don’t understand questions, but have limited reply abilities. If you were charged more than expected, good luck getting it back as the customer service does not do anything and you will still be out of pocket with any losses because they don’t care about customer service or making the customer happy when their app misled the customer. Additionally, if you book in Canadian and use a Canadian credit card to pay they will process the booking in USD funds even though the app showed the price in Canadian prior to booking, then they will do some conversion on their side leading to a higher price than expected and then they will try to charge your credit card with some adjusted higher price than advertised then the extra hidden fees at the hotel make it worse. The hotel was under renovation too so the Hotwire discount was mediocre anyway cause we would have got similar rates from walking in and just asking for a good rate. The customer service is useless with fixing the credit card stuff let alone even understanding why the customer is upset. Stay away from Hotwire. Will never use them again.

Really helpful during COVID

Even when my plans went south due to coronavirus, these guys refunded what they could. It took about 2 months but everything did in March / April of 2020. I really appreciate this group and I will book again in the future when travel restrictions lift.
