Really annoying that you have to invite friends before you can even start using the app. I get that the premise is a shared calendar with friends, but I want to be able to check out the functionality and determine if it’ll be a good fit before bombarding my friends with invites. Plus, I was just hoping to use it as a shared calendar with my partner plus maybe a friend or two if the time presents itself. Not being able to even get into the app before sending friends invites and having them accept, download the app, and make an account themself will likely lead to me simply deleting the app.

We’ve seen that our users have a much better experience on our app if their friends join at the start too, so we’re encouraging users to add friends when they sign up so they can get straight to sharing time and planning together 😊 Howbout is a social calendar app that’s great for multiple groups of friends and family too (and by default, your calendar won’t be shared with friends unless you give them permission) so perhaps there are a couple more who’ll join you? 🙌

Cant use it without email, so if you don't have one you can't use it

Unfortunately, you do need an email address to be able to log in to Howbout. We ask you for your email and phone number when creating an account to ensure your account is completely secure 🔐
