Only useful for finding walk-ins and pharmacies

Would be more useful if you could also book appointments with your care provider. If I have to go online to book them, no point in having the app.

Current version of app lets you book at walk-in clinics & pharmacies. Next update (coming shortly) will include booking at family doctor offices.

Even worse than the website

The iamsick website is poor-it advertises online booking on the homepage but doesn’t actually allow you to do it from there, and you can set up an account but it won’t then automatically connect you to your family doctor. In the end, though, it IS possible to book an appointment.

This app is truly useless though. My family surgery isn’t listed as a bookable site in Kelowna. In fact only one doctor IS listed there. When I eventually track down the surgery there’s no way that I can see to book an appointment. You’ll see that there have been no updates to this app in three years. That’s how much they care whether it works or not.

Poor technological support

I successfully joined iamsick.ca with my yahoo account and made an appointment with my family doctor immediately. I thought the process was completed otherwise how would I have been able to make an appointment with my family physician?

I discovered days later that I had to confirm my account by clicking on a link provided to me by iamsick.ca. The time period to confirm my account had lapsed and I had tossed the code given to me by my doctor’s office because I succeeded in making an appointment after I registered.

I emailed technical support a dozen times requesting that they resend the link to me to confirm my account. No link. No link. No link. To heck with it.

I created another iamsick.ca account weeks later with my gmail account and, once again, I made an appointment immediately with my family physician and discovered the confirmation link only a few hours later fulfilling the time criteria.

Suggestion: don’t allow new account holders to make an appointment with their GP until they have confirmed their account.

Also, when I sign into into iamsick.ca on my phone, keeping in mind that this is the only internet device I may have at any given time, I am asked “what do I want to find?” And given the option to find a doctor etc.

I don’t just want ANY doctor!!! I just signed in after creating account and iamsick.ca knew immediately who my doctor is. Why can’t this app go directly to my doctor’s office?!? I don’t know how the heck to find my doctor on this app with my phone and this is frustrating.

Don’t waste your time. Just call your doctor’s office and speak with the medical receptionist.
