The Interac® verification service is a solution for Canadians to help you verify your identity online to sign up for new digital services quickly and securely.

The Interac verification service allows you to securely authenticate yourself by establishing a secure connection with your financial institution.  The Interac verification service helps you stay in control by letting you choose when to share your information and with whom.

Customers of BMO, CIBC, Desjardins, RBC, Scotiabank, and TD can use the Interac verification service network. You must have an active and eligible online bank account with one of these financial institutions to enroll in and use the Interac verification service. 

The Interac verification service includes strong security protocols to help protect personal information from being identified, accessed, or misused. You will be asked to consent to every transaction.  The Interac verification service has no access to your banking information or the credentials you use to log into your financial institution. Your personal information is not stored by Interac. 

The service builds on Interac’s reputation as the most trusted financial services brand in Canada. Total waste of time

This app is a complete and total waste of time that I'll never get back.

Launched the App, chose my financial institution, and logged-in, and then was presented with the following error message:

Give us a ring to get in. Sorry, we can't complete your request at the moment. For your own security, we've blocked your access. The rest of the error screen gave me a toll-free number to call.

Two attempts, and a couple of hours later, and I'm still stuck at the screen with the error message. Two separate teams at the bank were unable to see a problem, much less fix it.

As soon as this review is finished, I will delete the app for a third time (the first two times I deleted it and re-installed.)

Not working with Desjardins

My Desjardins business account does not work. Whenever I try to add it to this app Desjardins returns me error ID000177 and tells me I don’t have permissions to access this function even though I’m the main administrator of our account with all the rights. Even the customer service at Desjardins didn’t know what the error code was about, so the problem seems to be from Interac’s side

Fix the app

Tried many times, on my computer, on my cell with this app to validate my Service Canada account (I need my money!) but « en cours de réacheminement vers Gouvernement du Canada » running and running and running without being able to access my account. Useless application.
