There needs to be a better way
It is completely ridiculous that I cannot browse nor rent within the app. Not on my phone nor my Apple TV. You have to use a browser to go to TIFF, sign in, then rent, then refresh your app, then play. Great choices, posters, trailers, and write ups but no way to do this in one transaction within the app. This makes NO SENSE AT ALL!
Does not chromecast even though it says it can
The screenshots of the iPhone app in the App Store clearly show an option for chrome casting but when I download the app and paid for a movie I cannot Chromecast. It’s a piece of crap app, tiff is the worst.
Awful experience
When doing airplay from the app:
- it won’t remember progress, starting from the beginning every time
- crashes constantly while casting to my TV
- while casting, the film played on the TV, but the subtitles were still playing on the app only, against a black background
How is this acceptable, especially after doing a digital festival last year? You’d think basic functionality would be correctly implemented.
