There needs to be a better way

It is completely ridiculous that I cannot browse nor rent within the app. Not on my phone nor my Apple TV. You have to use a browser to go to TIFF, sign in, then rent, then refresh your app, then play. Great choices, posters, trailers, and write ups but no way to do this in one transaction within the app. This makes NO SENSE AT ALL!

Barely functional, barebones app

I have the app on my Apple TV. To be positive, the streaming of HD quality picture is generally very good with a few minor jumpy buffering issues. But that is really all the app is currently good for — you cannot browse for available films within the app, requiring a rental on a browser first. Rentals don’t update unless you log out and log back in. Twice I have needed to delete the app and reload it to get it to update properly. Pause and play does not work — you have to menu-out of the film and press the onscreen play button to return to where you stopped. Definitely needs further development and debugging to compete with other streaming players’ functionality.

Terrible for streaming to TV

This app is terrible for AirPlay. It either won’t play the content at all, or crashes every few minutes. There is also no way to easily find where you left off as it restarts from the beginning every time you play a film. Very disappointing as any other app I’ve used for AirPlay has worked beautifully.
