Migrating from TextMate

I've been a long-time TextMate guy but found it's been getting buggy of late and was looking for an alternative. I was using Textastic on iPad because it supports TextMate bundles—at least for syntax definitions. So when I realized Textastic was also on the Mac, it was a no-brainer. I bought it instantly!

It's a solid editor with some interesting features. Like the folder view on the left is quite customizable, for example. I think the only one serious omission that I reserve the last star for is multi-file find & replace. There seems to be mult-file find and single file find & replace at this point.

Other less-critical wish list features include:
- A soft-wrap mode.
- A more customizable tab length. I occasionally have to edit assembly files (yes, pity me) where a longer tab length helps legibility. So maybe there could be a tab length tied to syntax definition? As it is, I have to change the single global length and change it back. Not the end of the world, to be fair.
- A little more scriptablity in general? That's what I loved about TextMate. But I noticed you can do custom code completions at least, so that's something. :)

Can’t handle large files, don’t expect a refund

Program purports to be fast. Try opening a 100mb file, and then entering a few characters in the middle of it. Glacial, beach ball sadness. Now try that in Sublime, or UltraEdit. No problem. Refund request said “not eligible”, YMMV. iOS app has been great, but this isn’t desktop grade.

This app is absolutely fantastic, i also baught the iPad version for iCloud sync and it works smoothly, i also gifted both apps to a classmate and he was blown by them…so keep up the good work
I would give the fifth star for more code completion for SQL and Swift
